Should Huck Finn Be Taught at CHS?

Should Huck Finn be taught at CHS ? What an outrageous question! Huck Finn is disobedient, he has bad behavior, and he has poor grammar. Their are several reasons that back up why I feel as though.
Huck Finn's behavior is horrible. He is violent , he offered his gang Miss Watson if he broke the rules of the gang. He said " Miss Watson -they can kill her ." Huck Finn is apart of gang that does bad things. For instance he said " Tom Sawyer he hunted me up and down said he was going to start a band of robbers, and I might join."
Another reason why Huck Finn shouldn't be a student at CHS is because he doesn't obey the rules of higher authority. In Chapter 1 Huck Finn said " Pretty soon I wanted to smoke, and asked the widow to let me. But she wouldn't. She said it was a mean practice and I must try to not do it anymore." Huck Finn has to be told everything several times like Miss Watson kept telling him "Don't put your feet up there Huckleberry"
Huck Finn also has poor speech. Huck Finn uses slang words and incorrect grammar. He says things such as "dah" and "betwixt". CHS doesn't have any class that teaches slang, incorrect grammar, and poor English.
There is not much left to say. I believe CHS is against all characteristics that Huck Finn posses.He is not someone that would act as a leader in a school. No one what has bad behavior,is disobedient , and has poor speech should be taught at CHS period!

Math Newsletter

In my newsletter I talked about the number zero.I talked about who came up with the idea of adding zero to our number system. Zero is a very helpful part of math today. Without zero we wouldnt have numbers such as 10 and 100. The number line would just be 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8and9.What a difference has one number as simple and as little of quantity such as zero be able to change the whole number line.The things I learnned about from writing this newsletter are tremendice.

Do you believe your going to graduate in 2011? Are you determined not to be one of the several Americans without a high school diploma?Well, I know I'm graduating in 2011 because I have determination.I am motivated and I like this school. Also I wish to be working under the best employment.

My parents motivate me everyday. They tell me that I have the knowledge to become anything I put my mind to.I believe that, so I strive to become the absolute best. I want to become a lawyer, not just any lawyer one of the best!With the right knowledge my goal will be achieved.

Going to college and becoming a lawyer will provide me with the best. I will have a high income which means more money to spend. I will have the job of my dreams. I wont be among those working at McDonalds not being paid nearly enough to pay rent or even a small phone bill.

Im determined to graduate in 2011. I want to inspire others that its possible to make it in life.I want to go to the best colleges an make the most of life. I need determination to help me through. For instance making life changing decisions like what college to go to or the right people to hang with because that determines my futures outcome.

The last reason is because I like this school.It has a good learning atmosphere. We don't have a lot of distractions interrupting class time . For instance like kids fighting or riots breaking out would be distracting but we don't have that. Less distractions makes learning easier.

In conclusion I know I'm going to graduate in 2011. I'm determined, motivated, and I like this school. I'm going to do my best to be employed at the best places. I know where I'm going. How about you?

My POG 2

In my Philosophy of Government 2 I stated my views of how the government helps peoples individual rights. I stated facts from the Ideal Society stimulation on whether freedom or security was more important. I used the U.S Constitution to state reasons on how the constitution helps peoples rights and showing how the constitution is based upon checks and balances which is when everyone in the U.S Government can contradict someone choice or decision.My philosophy of government 2 stated how the things that we were able to achieve in our stimulation were because of the rights the constitution states we have and are able to use freely. Such as the freedom of speech and the freedom of press.My philosophy of government basically backs up my views of government and how it helps us as a people.

science iChip project

Today my group presented our science project. Our companies name was "Flavorable Technology" and the name of our iChip was the "Gum Drop Chip". I was the lawyer in the group and I had to represent the companay and answer the following questions: Was the iChip safe?; Was the iChip legal?; What was the purpose of the iChip? I presented evidence from the United States Constitution to explain what make it legal for the iChip to be created and what also made it possible for it to be sold in stores. And I stated how the FDA had passed a patton for the iChip to be put into peoples heads.

censoring limitations

I believe that there should be limitations on the computer.There should be limitations on the amount of information that is given over the computer. Private information should not be exposed over the Internet.Like for instance on myspace there should be limitations on how old you should be to have a myspace. I strongly believe that people under the age of thirteen should not be eligible to create a myspace.There are a lot of sexual predators posing to be other people trying to get close to innocent young teens.Limitations on the Internet keep people safe from bad situations that could have been prevented.

my philosophy of government

I dont know that much about government . I do know that the government is complicated and consist of corroperation with the other parties. I have views similar to Hobbes and Locke but they both have said things that I didnt agree with . I believe government takes patience , time and dedication.

iChip & The iDeal Society

I believe that the iChip should be illegal . It is an invasion of privacy and it disregards people's individual rights . The iChip would make it possible for the president and who ever has access to it the ability to read peoples thoughts . I believe that there should be a law enabeling people to implant nano chips or mind control devices of any kind to be placed in side a persons head . This act is unconstitutional and the president should be impeached for his actions for he has angered terrorist and he can cause major riots . And the controversy could have been avoided if the president simply left the citizen of America alone and not making it seem as thought this nano chip is to help them technologically but it's simply a way to know what a person is thinking at any given time . The presidents actions are unforgivable and he should be punished and tried in the Supreme Court.
