what I believe my grade should be in english !
I believe my grade in English should be an A. I believe my grade should be an A because I have truly progressed in my writing skills. I am writing essays with more detail . Every time I write a essay or a paper I always think about the green, yellow,and red sentences. Using the writing skills I have learned this year in English help my essays flow well. I blogged every essay on my blog.I deserve a good grade and my grade shows just how much I do.

Controversy in Huck Finn
The word "nigger"? How would you feel if someone called you something other than your name and purposely tried to demeanor you? You'd probably feel anger and rage. But why is it that young people these days call each other "nigga" purposely? I have several reasons of my belief on the "nigga" and "nigger" controversy. My reasons are that people fought not to be called that,they were labeled with a harsh name, but still in the black community the word is used fluently towards one another.
People fought for years to not be called "nigger". Martin Luther King Jr. and others fought to be treated with respect and not be called a "nigger".The word is disrespectful , it shows ignorance and lack of respect for other races. Discriminating because of skin. I'd be angry if someone referred to me as a "big nigger" like when they called Jim "Mrs.Watson's big nigger Jim" in Huck Finn.
White people hated African Americans. They thought we were ignorant so they gave us a brutal name and enslaved us. White people wanted to make us slaves because we looked different and they thought that gave them the right to call us "niggers". I guess it made them feel superior over us. Wouldn't you think that the white people were the ignorant ones, hating us because of the color of our shin, then giving us a brutal label.
In my community today African Americans call one another "nigga". For them to address each other shows their lack of respect for them self.I don't understand why they think they can call someone of the same race as them a nigger it wont matter, but if a white person came up to them and called the a"nigger" they're ready to fight. If they don't want someone to disrespect them for calling them a "nigger" they mine as well stop saying the word period.
The word "nigger" is not apart of my vocabulary. I believe it should be deleted from every ones. With all the history behind this 6 letter word people still continue to use it.What did people fight for?What did white people call us a nigger? If only they knew that sooner or later we acted like the word didn't bother us and called each other "nigger".It seems this one word issue isn't settled and I'm not sure it ever will be.
