reflection on service learning 4/25

At our last meeting everyone shared the information they found on Darfur. The information was very amazing. At the last meeting we also watched a slide show of pictures during the genocide in Darfur. The pictures were traumatic. In the group we volunteered on topics we would go in dept on such as whats going on in Darfur now which I chose to do. The group is going well as of now. We have a lot to try and accomplish.

Reflection on Service Learning 4/17

At our last meeting our group leaders introduced to us a new idea for service learning. They told us about the genocide in Darfur. After hearing about the genocide it was evident that everyone wanted to help the people in Darfur after taking a vote. I believe its a good idea but the question everyone was left with was how much of what we do is actually going to help the problem in Darfur. The part I would like to play in my group would be the recorder.

Service Learning (africa project)

At our service learning meeting we accomplished what our goal was; better education. In our group we started to brainstorm on our strategies on how to collect money for our project. We chose to do "adopt-a-classroom" for a classroom in Africa. For our next service learning meeting for our group I believe we should finish brainstorming and settle on a good strategy for our collection of money. The ideas we started thinking about our very good.
