NHD Topic Selection

i choose Ernie Davis for my NHD project because i am interested in the idea of the first black Heisman Trophy Award winner in 1961. This person is important to history because he was the first African American athlete to be awarded the Heisman Trophy award as the best player in college football. Ernie davis was named by the Scholastic Coach Magazine as an All-American selection. He left behind a legacy of inspiration and gratitude.
