Reflection on NHD 2009

This year i think the NHD experience was easier and less stressful. i conducted my NHD project on Ernie Davis the first African American Heisman trophy winner and we choose to do an exhibit. I worked with Brittany Davis and Alexis Byrd. The title of our project was Ernie Davis: Running for equality. Ernie Davis was a running back for the Syracuse University. He died a the age of 23.I felt as though we presented a good project and it consisted of a necessary amount of historical context. Our board was in orange and blue to emphasize the fact that he went to Syracuse University. We put the number 44 on our marquee board because that was the number he wore and it was retired after his death. In the beginning we had trouble finding a lot of primary sources besides pictures. But later we found newspaper articles about him.I wouldn't change anything about my project i think it was good and presented well. I felt as though i should have moved on to the next level. But I'm glad that the whole thing is over now.
